Term Dates

The term begins during the first week of Shawwal, after the month of Ramadhan. The academic year terminates after the annual examinations, which normally takes place in the second and third week of Shabaan.

The half year examinations are held approximately five months after Ramadhan during the month of Rabi‘ul Awwal.

The academic year is dependant on the Islamic calendar and students are given vacations as follows:

  • Annual Holidays: Month of Ramadhan
  • Eidul Fitr: 5 days
  • Eedul Adha: 10 Days
  • Half-Year Examination Holidays: 10 Days
  • Long Weekend: 3 days
